K.K. Slider was tuning up his guitar on the makeshift stage inside the Roost on a chilly Saturday night. Many townsfolk were in attendance but the overall amount of people eager to listen to K.K. was unusually large. Typically only a few showed up, but rumor had it that K.K. was going to be performing a couple of new songs…songs that would obviously turn into big time hits.

As usual, Brewster gave 50% off all coffee sold while K.K. was performing and setting up his gig. The majority of the whispering audience had a cup of steaming coffee in their hand while they waited. Soon enough the powerful coffee aroma filled the Roost, a handful of townsfolk began to gag. In the corner of the room, Brewster dimmed the lights…signaling that the concert was about to begin in a few moments. Hushes began to fill the crowd as they waited in anticipation.

Loco stood in the back of the Roost looking eagerly at everyone, scanning to see if there were any of her close friends nearby. She desperately wanted to talk to someone but it seemed as though K.K. would begin momentarily. With her cup of joe in hand, she heard some villagers mumbling to each other the latest town gossip. Loco rolled her eyes and stood on her tippy toes until she could see the top of K.K.'s head.

Allister sat in a chair at the coffee bar, clearly buzzed on the amount of caffeine he had taken in.

"Haven't you had enough, Allister?"

Allister looked at him with one eyebrow raised, and then slammed his cup down on the counter.

"I'LL HAVE SOME M-MORE, B-BREWSTER OL' BUDDY. BLOOP."

Brewster turned around and quickly fetched Allister another coffee. he had clearly had too much, but he was a customer, and the customer was always right... Unless it was Allister. Then the customer blew everything out of proportion to the point of being a bit senile.

Allister turned toward the stage, coffee in one hand, an aggressive index finger in the other. He pointed at K.K. Silder and requested a song.

"DO SUMMA THAT 'GO K.K. RIDER!', BECAUSE IT'S TOTALLY THE BEST ADVENTURING SONG EVER."

Brewster laid his face into his palm and shook his head.

"Why did I let him have more coffee...?"

Walking in, a certain Tiger entered the Roost in a rather natural fashion, hurrying inside as she slid onto her seat. She remembered her new friend had mentioned there being someone who came in on these days, and turning her head, she saw K.K Slider, who was already beginning to play a song.
'I sure can't be too loud', she thought to herself, pushing her paw under her hat to give the back of her head a small scratch. 'I sure don't want to be disrespectin' mister, uh, Kiki Slider?' she thought once more, before shaking her head, looking around for her friend. She didn't like to sit near strangers, or at least the hollerin' ones, and if anything, she would have loved to meet up with Loco again.

Hey, what's going on in there? Sounds like a party! Pokey thought, and he ran into the Roost with no inhibitions. He stopped, stunned by the number of people. As he stood there, he realized music was playing, which everyone was paying attention to. He closed his eyes and his ears perked up.

This is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard TT^TT Pokey exclaimed in his thoughts. His eyes opened and rainbows poured out of them and painted the universe with happiness.

He stood there for a few more moments, stunned by the beauty of K.K.'s immense soulfulness, when he noticed to his right someone giving him a peculiar look. He blinked and looked straight at Brewster, who looked away. Brewster was afraid that perhaps caffeine and this little blue dude might not mix. It was too late, though. Pokey had begun to make his way over to the bar with a big smile on his face.

Railee entered the Roost, quite angry after falling into a pitfall seed she sat down near the bar and saw a blue bear heading towards her. Not wanting to be rude, she selfconciously folded her koala ears next to her head and said "Hello!"
